EMILY SIMPSON 

I worked for a year as the crew swing for the Book of Mormon National Tour. Some of my primary duties included:

• Assisted with loading the tour in and out of 60 theatres across the US and Canada. Primary load in/out duties included packing and unloading 4 trucks, managing 4-12 local stagehands in various tasks, organizing the deck, and assisting various departments as needed with set up and take down of all parts of the show. 

• Learned and covered 9 show tracks: SR & SL deck carpenter, flyman, assist. wardrobe, light board op, spot op/caller, wigs supervisor, A2, head props. Maintained paperwork and trained locals in their show tracks as needed.

• Repaired and maintained touring scenery, props, lighting fixtures, etc to maintain the show in its third year on tour. Aided in adapting the show as necessary to safely operate in various venues for over 250 performances.
